# The Walking Dead Reflection Post: Season 3 Episode 10
Wednesday, February 20, 2013 / permalink
I usually don't watch the walking dead for a few days after it airs. I watched it last night and I must say that the show isn't really doing if for me anymore. I warn you. If you haven't seen season 3 episode 10 I warn you.. LOOK AWAY

Rick you crazy SOB

Okay so Rick is completely off his horse. I mean flat out running around acting like a crazy fool. We can see his character following around an imaginated Lori. I can't delve into what the motivations of the Rick's character are, but the last 6 months before Lori got eaten, he hated her. He wouldn't even look at her. In his madness he is following her around. Why? He didn't care about her at all anymore. I guess someone could argue that he feels guilty for not treating her right. It's so dumb. Not only that but everyone still seems to think he is the leader of the group. He is fucking crazy and unstable people! He needs a nap or something. Raid the pharmacy for some lithium or something. Then in the final moments of the episode, Rick gives this look like he is finally ready to lead again or some shit. His character just isn't useful anymore.

Glenn and Maggie

What kind of fucked in the head relationship are they having right now. They have all this time to discuss a rape that DIDN'T happen and when the discussion finally happens, Maggie is mad at Glenn. Like grow up dude. Glenn is one of the only characters I like at this point. Don't fuck him up for me show.

Daryl, you're not the badass you think you are, but you're alright

So Daryl and Merle are rolling through the woods and come across a group of people who need help. Of course Merle is annoying and throws out some racial slurs, because obviously he hasn't learned not to be an asshole anymore. It's hilarious to me that the show made a big to do about Daryl splitting from the group and now he is back in the next episode. Nice job at wasting some time show. How about putting more story into the show and less shocker moments that end up meaning nothing.

The Poor People That Join The Cast

Get some freaking fresh blood on this show. Whenever there are some new people they get killed off. Why won't you introduce characters we can grow to love too? No, you have to kill them off. RIP guy who was in prison. Come on.. give us new blood!

Michonne. You are the baddest bitch on the block.

I don't care if she doesn't say anything. She is amazing. She doesn't need to get all emotional when things go awry. She's got this. Andrea was better when she was with her. Now Andrea is just a little gullible child with no use as a character.

Go in the House Carl......

I hate Carl. That's all I need to say.

So in summation, this show is starting to get really boring for me. I need a change of scenery. I know this has had mostly negative overtones, that's because the show is starting to lack something for me. It's like the story is slowing down because they want to stretch it out. I don't like that feeling. I know so many people that are still in awe over the show, I am not one of them. I will watch, but something needs to happen.

# The Walking Dead XBOX 360 Review

Oi. Where do I start? This was the biggest emotional roller coaster ever. This is the first time I EVER cried playing a game. You play as Lee, a convict on his way to prison when all hell breaks loose. I can't even go into the details of the story because it is so twisty. Soon after you start playing you meet a little girl named Clementine. She is your moral compass in the game. She is the reason for pretty much every move you make in the game. The basis of the game is pretty much survive and protect Clementine.

Game play

The game play is your basic point and click kind of adventure. You usually have a movable reticle that let's your hover over people or items of interest. It's take a minute to get used to, but once you do it's like an easy to maneuver extension on game play. Shooting is a bitch. In episode 2 or 3 I had to actually stop playing at one point because I was so angry. The gun has a tendency to fly really fast from left to right. Towards the end of the game I saw a screentip that said hold RT to control your gun, but I don't know if that would have helped at all. This is a game where your choices affect the outcome of the game and characters who stay with you. Some choices you make are a direct result of your actions, and some are set in stone. The game makes you feel like you are making the choices though. I don't know if every choice plays out the same in the end, but some choices dictate what characters you have with you.

Characters

Never have I  played a game where I was emotionally involved with the characters. You find yourself becoming attached. It's a weird thing. The story is told so beautifully and artfully that you are pulled in. You start making choices that you would make for someone you really cared about. In your mind you know it's a game, but the writing is done so well that you get lost in the world while you are playing it. I won't give anything away, but the ending was so hard on me that was just sitting there like.. "I need a hug or something.." Don't expect happy endings with this. You will love and lose. You will defend and sacrifice. This game is so emotionally charged. You want things to work out, and like in real life-- the loss is hard when they don't.

Graphics

I love the graphics in this. The cel shaded style is really awesome. I did find that it was too dark sometimes. I turned the brightness up all the way and it would still be dark.

Last Thoughts

Just know going in to this that it's going to be quite a ride. The game is wonderfully written and it's worth every penny you pay for it. I would recommend it to anyone.
